The Latvian Parliament has declared Russia a “state sponsor of terrorism” for allegedly attacking civilians in its invasion of Ukraine. A strongly worded statement adopted by lawmakers in Riga said Moscow was using “suffering and intimidation as tools in its attempts to demoralise the Ukrainian people". In the 100-seat assembly, 67 lawmakers voted in favour of adopting the statement.
