The lawyers in Varanasi staged a protest against police days after clash between lawyers and policemen inside court premises. The area has been converted into a security zone with heavy police and RRF deployment. Notably, dozens of lawyers allegedly assaulted two policemen inside court premises on September 16. The confrontation reportedly stemmed from a land dispute case in Baragaon.
