Burkina Faso's Army has given civilians 14 days to evacuate about 13,000 sq km of area in the country's northern and southeastern regions ahead of military operations against Islamist insurgents. The military evacuation order comes after an attack on June 11 that killed at least 100 civilians. Burkina Faso has been battling Islamist militants active in the region since 2015.
