Chinese technology giant LeEco will acquire California-based TV manufacturer Vizio for $2 billion and operate it as an independent subsidiary, the companies announced on Tuesday. Vizio founder and CEO William Wang will leave the company and head Vizio's data business, Inscape, which is being spun-out into a privately-held company. LeEco will own 49% of Inscape, while Wang will own 51%.
