Jan Leike, former co-head of OpenAI safety team, on Tuesday said he is joining rival firm Anthropic. This comes less than two weeks after he quit OpenAI saying he has been "disagreeing with OpenAI leadership" and "safety culture and processes have taken a backseat to shiny products". He left after OpenAI Co-founder and Chief Scientist Ilya Sutskever announced his resignation.
