Levi Strauss' heir Daniel Lurie announced that he is running for San Francisco's Mayor. He is challenging the current Mayor London Breed for her seat in 2024. Lurie is also the founder of Tipping Point, an anti-poverty nonprofit, and has run the foundation for the past 15 years. His mother, billionaire Mimi Haas, owns 11% of Levi Strauss & Co.
