Libya agrees on roadmap for elections after 10+ years delay

Representatives of Libya's rival political factions signed an agreement to hold long-delayed national elections within two years, aiming to resolve disputes over electoral laws. Libya's political process has remained stalled for more than a decade amid conflict and divisions. An election scheduled for December 2021 collapsed after disagreements over the eligibility of major candidates.
