Many LIC agents have threatened to hold nationwide protests at its branches after the company implemented new rules which may effectively reduce their commissions. These rules ensure that policyholders are eligible to receive part of their premiums back, even if they were to exit after paying the first premium. The agents are demanding a rollback of LIC's decisions.
