State-owned LIC has handed over a dividend cheque of ₹3,662.17 crore to the central government. The cheque was presented by Siddhartha Mohanty, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of LIC, to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the presence of M P Tangirala, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Finance. LIC had declared an interim dividend of ₹6 per share on May 27.
