LIC's equity portfolio has seen a tenfold growth over the past decade, with a sharp rise recorded in the post-2020 era, an NDTV Profit analysis showed. The Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector accounts for 29% of LIC's top equity holdings, valued at over ₹3.66 lakh crore. It is followed by oil & gas, IT and consumer goods sectors.
