LIC informed exchanges that shareholders approved the company’s first-ever bonus issue in the ratio of 1:1 since its establishment in 1956. The company will capitalise ₹6,324.99 crore from reserves for issuance of bonus shares. LIC also received shareholder approval for multiple director appointments and currently has a market capitalisation of around ₹5.08 lakh crore.
