Lifestyle changes beat diabetes drug in long-term: Study

A 22-year study finds lifestyle changes more effective than metformin in preventing type 2 diabetes. Healthy habits reduced diabetes risk by 58% in 3 years and 24% long-term, while metformin showed 31% and 17% respectively. Participants also remained diabetes-free longer, highlighting the lasting power of diet and exercise over medication.
