Lincoln created Secret Service hours before being shot

The 16th US President Abraham Lincoln signed a legislation creating the Secret Service the day he was shot at the Ford's Theatre in Washington, DC, by John Wilkes Booth. Lincoln, who successfully lead the country through civil war, was the first US President to be assassinated. Lincoln's 153rd death anniversary is being observed on Sunday.
