Indonesian investigators on Thursday said the cockpit voice recorder showed the pilots of the crashed Lion Air Boeing 737 MAX 8 jet were sifting through a manual and were facing altitude issues. The pilots appeared to panic at the end when they realised they couldn't regain control, they added. The crash had killed all 189 people on board last October.
