Argentina captain Lionel Messi has become the first footballer in history to win two World Cup Golden Balls. Messi won the Golden Ball at 2022 FIFA World Cup for scoring seven goals and making three assists. He had won his first Golden Ball in the 2014 edition, in which he scored four goals and made one assist.
