Several BJP-ruled states have announced fuel-saving steps after PM Modi's appeal for wise spending and reduced fuel use. UP, Maharashtra, Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan and MP have cut convoy sizes, shifted meetings online, promoted work from home and encouraged public transport and EVs. Leaders, including the PM, have also reduced official vehicle use while keeping security measures intact.
