Lithuania mulls state of emergency on Poland border amid migrant crisis

The Lithuanian government is considering a 'state of emergency' along its border with Poland to curb the inflow of migrants. This state of emergency will entail frequent border checks on vehicles deemed suspicious. Poland provides a checks-free route from Lithuania and Latvia to Germany, the destination most Middle Eastern migrants who have reached the region via Belarus want to reach.
