Live-in relationship akin to marriage, parents can't interfere: HC

The Delhi High Court said that a live-in relationship between consenting adults is akin to a marriage, and parents cannot interfere with the choice. The court further held that such relationships are entitled to police protection under their fundamental right to freedom, even though they are not legally recognised. Parents have no right to threaten their lives, the court added.
