Liver cancer risk linked to sugary drinks, 18-year study finds

A study of more than 1.5 million adults followed for nearly 18 years found that higher consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages was associated with an increased risk of two major liver cancer types. Researchers say the findings add to growing evidence that sugary drinks may contribute to serious long-term health problems.
