Liverpool defeated Chelsea 6-5 on penalties in the final to win the FA Cup title for the eighth time. Chelsea have finished runners-up in the FA Cup for the third straight time. This was Liverpool's second trophy of the season. They had defeated Chelsea 11-10 on penalties in the final of the League Cup in February.
