Shepherds in the Himgiri area of Salooni subdivision of Chamba district are grappling with a severe livestock disease outbreak that has killed nearly 100 sheep and goats. Local shepherds said the illness struck their flocks around a week ago, causing animals to suddenly stop eating and weaken rapidly. They expressed concern over lack of veterinary support from Animal Husbandry Department.
