LNG tanker with 6 Indians was sailing to Pak, Iran attacked it despite giving approval: Report

Al Mayeda was carrying Qatari LNG and was headed to Pakistan with 25 crew members, including six Indians, when it was attacked near Strait of Hormuz, Bloomberg reported. Iran had approved the tanker's transit hours before the attack. Notably, the attack came despite Pakistan's role as a mediator in the US-Israel-Iran war and as it reels from an energy crisis.
