A controversy erupted in Bihar's Samastipur after locals wrote to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, alleging that the plan for a five-kilometre stretch of the Patna-Purnea Greenfield Expressway was altered. They claimed that Bihar Deputy CM and JD(U) leader Vijay Kumar Choudhary influenced the move to spare his close associate's land. "We will look into the matter," CM Samrat Choudhary said.
