Lockdown saw rise of violence within family, child abuse: SC judge

The lockdown period, amid COVID-19 pandemic, saw an increase in domestic violence cases and instances of child abuse, senior Supreme Court judge, Justice N V Ramana, said. "The lockdown has itself created psychological issues and violence within the family," he added. "Women have been burdened with more work; children have been unable to go to schools," Justice Ramana said.
