Lock-in period for anchor investors of IPOs extended to 90 days

Market regulator SEBI has cleared several rules to tighten IPO process, including increasing lock-in period for anchor investors to 90 days for IPOs opening from April 1, 2022. The rule will apply to 50% of allocation to anchor investors, while the remaining portion will have 30-day lock-in period. The move will reportedly stabilise share price and prevent retail investors' losses.
