The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has issued a fine of ₹50,000 to the Lodhi Road crematorium, a site for funerals of deceased COVID-19 patients, after used Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits were found discarded there. The SDMC also sent 12 trucks to take away discarded PPE kits, gloves, masks and other debris found strewn in and around the crematorium.
