The Lok Sabha passed Sabka Bima Sabki Raksha (Amendment of Insurance Laws) Bill, 2025, allowing 100% foreign direct investment (FDI) in insurance companies, with a view to provide insurance to all by 2047. As per the Lok Sabha bulletin, the bill is designed to accelerate growth and development in the insurance sector while also improving the ease of doing business.
