The water at the Lonar crater lake in Maharashtra's Buldhana has turned pink over the past week from green. Officials said water samples will be collected and sent for testing to find the reason. "During the late summer season when water levels reduce and there is high salinity, an algal bloom results in such changes in colour," an official said.
