Longer waiting periods with semiconductor shortage affecting production can have a negative impact on car demand, Maruti Suzuki India's Senior Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) Shashank Srivastava said. Maruti has a pending order of around 2.5 lakh units, while production was over 80% of normal in November, he added. Supply constraints have improved in last few months, he said.
