Longest modern boxing match fought on this day

On 2nd February 1892, professional boxers Harry Sharpe and Frank Crosby took part in the longest boxing match fought with modern rules. Sharpe won the match, that went on for more than five hours, by knockout in the 77th round. Reportedly, the match referee passed out in the 65th round leaving the remaining rounds of the game un-officiated.
