Longest Olympic torch relay touched Mt Everest

The longest Olympic torch relay, which was for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, is the only time the torch has reached the Mount Everest Summit. The torch covered a distance of 1,37,000 kilometres and traveled through 21 countries between Greece and China with 21,800 torchbearers. The relay lasted for over three months.
