Lord Ganesha idol with 66 kg gold ornaments gets ₹703-crore insurance cover in Mumbai

Mumbai's GSB Seva Mandal will celebrate its 72nd Maha Ganapati festival from September 14 to 18. It has secured ₹703.27 crore insurance cover for devotees' safety and protection of its assets. Convenor Dr Bhujang Pai said the idol is adorned with over 66 kg of gold ornaments, 335 kg of silver and precious gemstones.
