During a hearing of a bail plea at Supreme Court on Tuesday, CJI SA Bobde said the petitioner was seeking permission to leave jail on Sri Krishna Janmashtami, the day Lord Krishna was believed to have been born inside a jail. "You want bail or jail? Today Lord Krishna was born in jail," CJI told petitioner's counsel jokingly.
