The Supreme Court mentioned Lord Krishna during a hearing on dispute between Vrindavan's Shri Banke Bihari Temple and UP government ordinance about the proposed redevelopment of a corridor using ₹500 crore from temple funds. "Lord Krishna was the first mediator...please try to mediate the matter," said the court. It proposed a committee to settle the issue between the two parties.
