Jorge Lorenzo on Saturday claimed the pole position for the Valencia MotoGP, last race of the championship season. Lorenzo registered a personal lap record of one minute and 30.011 seconds, ahead of Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa who finished second and third respectively. Championship leader Valentino Rossi finished 12th, and is seven points ahead of Lorenzo in the championship table.
