On the podcast, Dr V Mohan, a diabetology expert, said reversing pre-diabetes is easier than many think. "Five kilograms is sufficient," he said. Losing that much weight, especially around two inches from the waist, along with cutting carbohydrates, increasing protein intake, exercising and sleeping on time, can help restore normal blood sugar levels. Many people, he added, give up within months.
