Lucid Motors is cutting 12% of its workforce, roughly 800 employees, to boost profitability and ramp up its Gravity SUV. The restructuring excludes hourly manufacturing workers. According to an internal memo, the layoffs are part of a broader strategy to streamline operations ahead of the new SUV's launch and a future midsize vehicle.
