Jewellery traders and workers associated with Lucknow's sarafa industry staged a protest on Monday following PM Narendra Modi's appeal for postponing the purchase of gold amid West Asia war. "PM Modi's remarks will result in an economic crisis for bullion traders," a jewellery association head said. "If people stop purchasing gold, how will jewellers and their employees survive?" he added.
