Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla confirmed that pest control had not been conducted properly in the Indore Hospital where a newborn died due to a rat bite. “The pest control and cleanliness drive was not done regularly,” he said. Health Department has been directed to submit a full investigation report within a week, and action against hospital staff has already begun.
