Madras HC upheld the Tamil Nadu government's decision to give 7.5% reservation to government school students in admission to undergraduate medical courses. "We direct the state to review the quota in five years...steps may be taken to improve the standard of education in government schools so that the reservation may not be further extended beyond five years," the HC said.
