Maha FDA seizes 1,394 kg chemically ripened bananas, destroys 16,730 litres adulterated milk

Tukaram Mundhe-led Maharashtra FDA on Tuesday seized 1,394 kg of chemically ripened bananas worth ₹67,814 from Navi Mumbai's APMC Turbhe Fruit Market. Officials found the bananas being dipped directly in an Ethephon solution, a prohibited practice under food safety rules. In Solapur, the administration destroyed 16,730 litres of detergent-positive milk and subsequently registered FIRs.
