Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao has sacked Mumbai University Vice Chancellor Sanjay Deshmukh over gross negligence. Deshmukh was held responsible for failing to implement the On-Screen Marking system and for not declaring exam results within the time limit. The results were declared after three months and a record 50,000 requests for re-evaluation were received by the varsity.
