To ease traffic congestion in Pune and improve last-mile connectivity to Lohegaon Airport, Maha-Metro has decided to develop new transit corridors. They plan to extend metro lines and connect Lohegaon Airport to Pune's southern suburbs like Kondhwa, NIBM, Yewalewadi, and Undri. A spur from Ramwadi to Lohegaon and an extension from the Civil Court has also been proposed.
