Sharada Peeth, located in the Neelum Valley of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir lies in dilapidated state. Sharada Peeth is situated in the valley of Mount Harmukh, believed to be the abode of Shiva. Sharada Peeth is revered as one of the 18 Maha Shakti Peethas. According to legend, it is believed that this is where the right hand of Sati fell.
