Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday announced the removal of an IAS officer accused of corruption from the post of Managing Director of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation. The Opposition demanded his resignation after an audio tape that allegedly recorded him asking for a bribe went viral. An inquiry will reportedly be conducted into the incident within a month.
