Maharashtra excise department conducted raids at 23 illegal rooftop pubs and bars in Pune over violations of licence-related guidelines. "We've sent a proposal to fine the violators to the district collector...a decision on the same is expected soon," an excise department official said. Pune civic body also sent notices to 12 pubs and restaurants for carrying out illegal constructions.
