Subhash Khetulal Sharma, a 73-year-old farmer from Yavatmal district in Maharashtra, has transformed his 16-acre farm into a model of natural farming. He has been honored with the Padma Shri for his contributions to soil health, water conservation, and biodiversity. He conserves one crore liters of rainwater annually and recharges six crore liters of groundwater on just six acres.
