Maharashtra govt makes rural stint mandatory for MBBS students

The Maharashtra government has announced that, starting academic year 2022-2023, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) graduates will have to compulsorily complete their one-year rural stint after completing their course. An official circular further states that without completing the rural stint, students will not be considered eligible to apply for postgraduate entrance tests.
