The Maharashtra government has made e-KYC mandatory for beneficiaries of the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme', giving them two months to complete the process. "It will help us to weed out some of the ineligible beneficiaries," a senior official said. This comes after the Maharashtra government recently announced that nearly 26 lakh beneficiaries have been found ineligible under the scheme.
