Maharashtra maps water security

A first of its kind district and subdistrict assessment of Maharashtra finds significant regional differences in water and food security, groundwater stress and nutrition with drought prone and tribal areas facing greater groundwater stress and nutritional challenges. Konkan, Pune and Nashik perform relatively well, but Marathwada and Vidarbha continue to face challenges.
